The IBM 3580 Model H11 is an Ultrium Tape Drive. It provides media capacity of up to 100 GB (200 GB with 2:1 compression) data storage per cartridge and a sustained data rate of up to 15 MB per second (uncompressed) and up to 30 MB per second when using 2:1 compression. With support for IBM LTO Ultrium-format tape data cartridges, the 3580 Ultrium Tape Drive provides an excellent migration path from digital linear tape (DLT), 3570, 1/4-inch, 4mm, or 8mm tape drives, autoloaders, or libraries. They are cost-effective solution for backup, save-and-restore, and archiving functions as a part of the family of IBM Ultrium tape products. The IBM 3580 H11 and H13 feature an Ultra/Wide SCSI HVD interface.
